Corporate Information

  • Riverlife Kindergarten was established in 2000. It was formly named Megalife Kindergarten.
  • Riverlife Kindergarten provides Pre-school education for children aged 2 ½ to 6 years old.
 
 

Registration Procedures

 
Qns: How can I register my child?
Ans: Simply complete the registration form then hand it in directly to the Kindergarten Office or fax/email/post it to us.
   
Qns: Can I register my child via telephone?
Ans: No, we do not accept registration via telephone.
   
Qns: Do I have to make my payment upon registration?
Ans: Payment has to be made once the office confirms a place for your child. Cheque to be made payable to “Riverlife Kindergarten"
   
Qns: Is there a particular month for registration?
Ans: No, registration is open throughout school term.
   
Qns: At what age can I register my child?
Ans: 2 ½ years old.
 

**All registration fees paid to the Kindergarten are non refundable and NON TRANSFERABLE.

 
 

Enrolment Procedures

 
Qns: What are the eligibility criteria for enrolment?
Ans: Enrolment will be on a first-come-first serve basis and priority will also be given to siblings and subject to:
  • The child's is of the minimum age required for entry into the Kindergarten.
  • Availability of vacancy in the child’s intended class.
   
Qns: What are the payments to be made upon confirmation of enrolment?
Ans:
  • Registration fee (If no registration was made earlier).
  • 1 month deposit of school fees.
  • First month’s school fees.
  • Insurance premium.
  • School uniform.
  • Optional items.
  • June/December school fees
  • Cheque to be made payable to “Riverlife Kindergarten"
   
Qns: What are the charges?
Ans: Please refer to our fee structure.
   
Qns: Is there a trial period?
Ans: No.
   
Qns: Will there an orientation for new parents?
Ans:
  • A one to one orientation for parents enrolling their children on any calendar months.
  • Group orientation for new parents during November for a new year intake.
   
Qns: Will there be a refund of school fees should a child fall ill or on vacation?
Ans: No, as the child’s name is maintained in the class register and a place is reserved for the child until he returns.
   
Qns: Will there be a refund if I wish to withdraw my child after making payments?
Ans: Registration fees & deposit will be forfeited (Please also refer to withdrawal procedures).
 
 

Withdrawal Procedures

 
Qns: How do I withdraw my child?
Ans: One month WRITTEN NOTICE from the 1st day of the month or on the last day of the preceding month should the 1st day of the notice month fall on weekends or on a holiday(s). And only then will the deposit be used to offset the last month school fees.
   
Qns: Can I withdraw my child via telephone or oral notice?
Ans: NO ORAL NOTICE WILL BE ACCEPTED and that will affect the deposit to be forfeited without prejudice.
 
 

Withdrawal from Enrichment Courses

 
Qns: Can I get a refund if I withdraw my child from enrichment courses?
Ans: If your notice of withdrawal is 1 week before the start of the course, you will get back100% of the course fee; 4 days before the start of the course, 75%; 1 to 3 days before the start of the course, 50%.  There will be no refund once the course has started.
   
 
 

Mode of payment

 
Qns: Can I choose the mode of payment for my child's school fees?
Ans:

Riverlife has on the request of the Ministry of Education implimented fee collection by GIRO. Parents are to maintain sufficient fund in their bank accounts for the appropriate school fee deduction on the 3rd day of each month.

 
 

School fees for School Holidays

 
Qns: Do I need to pay school fees for all school termly holidays?
Ans: Yes, Riverlife Kindergarten collects monthly fees instead of term fees where school holidays apply.
 
 

Health & Safety

 
Qns: What is the Kindergarten’s approach when a child falls sick?
Ans: Refrain parents from bringing their child to school.
   
Qns: What will the Kindergarten do when a child falls sick?
Ans:
  • Teachers/Principal will attend to the child’s needs;
  • Isolate the child to allow rest;
  • Then parents will be notified to take the child home or to consult a doctor.
   
Qns: What measures does the Kindergarten take if there is an out break of infectious diseases?
Ans:
  • Circular will be sent out to parents.
  • Isolate child contacted with infectious diseases and inform parents immediately.
  • Kindergarten will observe good hygiene standards.
  • Eliminate communal activities and assembly.
  • Conduct health check daily till the outbreak season is over.
  • Child should be certified fit to return to school by a medical practitioner.
  • Undertake daily cleaning and disinfection of toys, materials and equipment used by the children.
 
 

Birthday Celebration

 
Qns: Can my child celebrate his/her birthday in school?
Ans:
  • Yes. The office and class teacher are to be informed one week in advance of your intended date.
  • Information of whether it will be a class/level/whole session celebration has to be communicated clearly.
